I design for the moments before the solution exists.

The ambiguous brief. The misaligned team. The product no one has built yet. That's where I do my best work.

04 · About me

I'm Lauryn, a Senior UX Designer with 6+ years of experience across startups, enterprise, agencies, and nonprofits. Right now I'm at JPMorgan Chase, designing internal tools used across 1,000+ branch locations. Before that, I was the sole designer at an early-stage AI logistics startup, where I went from blank canvas to a product that helped close a deal valued with a client valued over $100M in under a year.

My background started in graphic design, i’ve worked print, typography, visual communication. I think about hierarchy, rhythm, and emotional weight before I open Figma. That foundation is still in everything I make.

What drives me is the 0→1 problem. The product that doesn't exist yet or needs a refresh. The team that doesn't have a process yet. The research that no one has done yet. I've built design functions from scratch, leading volunteer research teams, and created structure where there was none, and I've done it in environments ranging from a two-person startup to one of the largest banks in the world.

I'm currently looking for senior and manager-level UX roles where I can lead work, grow a team, and build systems that outlast the project that created them.

04 · Field notes

Design is a story before it's a screen. Every product has a before, a moment when someone was frustrated, lost, or underserved. I start there.

Process should leave something behind. Documentation, frameworks, decision logs. I build for the team that comes after me.

Constraints are part of the brief. Limited research access, short timelines, legacy systems I don’t treat these as obstacles. They're design.

Ambiguity is not a blocker. It's an invitation to define the problem before solving it.

04 · About the work

The case studies aren't just wall full of galleries. They're decision trails.

You'll see the important moments a scope changed and why I agreed or pushed back. You'll see research that shaped a direction, and constraints that shaped a design. You'll see the thinking behind the work, not just the work.

Each project is a different kind of hard. Taken together, they're an argument for how I work.

LET’S BUILD SOMETHING WORTH TELLING A STORY ABOUT.

I'm currently exploring Senior UX designer and UX Manager roles. If you're building something complex and need someone who thrives in the unknown, let's talk.
